World Book day March 1st.
This week is book week in PJP. As part of book week we are doing shared reading every day with Ms Forman's Fourth class. Pupils can bring in their own book for this activity.
We will also do a book Quiz.
Pupils can dress up as their favourite character on Friday.
They also received a book voucher today which can be used in most book shops.
The pupils are doing a class based project on Egypt ,
Also Hit the button is a good interactive game for the pupils to play to reinforce maths tables.

Today we had an exciting visitor with mouse. An african hedgehog.
The class got to hold the hedgehog .
Mouse gave the pupils lots of interesting information about Hibernation and hedgehogs.
The pupils can do a mini project on an Irish animal.

Welcome to class page for room 26.On this page we will share activities and photos of events during the school year. We hope for a happy and successful year for all the pupils in this third class.
Homework in Third class will usuallly consist of written work from both the Irish and English spelling workbooks and another piece of written work.
Learning involves learning of spellings, tables and 20 minutes of reading.
The pupils have completed the first topic in Irish, Mé fein.
They enjoyed writing and speaking about their appearance and their families.
In maths we have been working on rounding and on time. The pupils have been learning both analogue and digital time in 5 minute intervals using a variety of methods .small clocks, games,whiteboards and markers.The next topics are angles and subtraction.
In SESE the pupils have been examining various types of buildings and their uses.
They also read about animals and their habitats.
In History the children enjoyed the story of Fionn and the Fianna. We are currently reading and learning about The stone Age and will be making stone Age pots.
It would be helpful to bring the children to Newgrange in Co Meath.
