Skipping Workshop
On a cold, Wednesday morning in November, John the skipping instructor came to visit our school. Ms.Hayden brought my class and I down to the school hall. John was already there with lots of ropes.
Firstly, John gave us all ropes. He taught us the correct technique to skip well. The first technique he demonstrated to us was called 'The Tray Technique'. The tray technique is when you hold your skipping rope in front of you as if you were holding a tray.
The second technique he demonstrated was how to run into a long moving skipping rope. His suggestion was to jump in from the back while the skipping rope was moving.
Finally, the half an hour was over. Ms. Hayden brought us back to the classroom. I had an amazing half an hour at skipping and we had an option to buy a skipping rope for seven euro.
