We spend some time throughout the week reading short stories, answering comprehension questions and completing grammar exercises.
The children love their 15 minutes DEAR time everyday. We have a selection of books in our class library but they are welcome to bring in their own books. They should also be reading every night for approximately 15 minutes and recording this in their reading log.
The children will be given opportunities to practice their cursive handwriting at home as part of their homework. They should be encouraged to take their time when completing these activities.
