Welcome to our class page. It's finally up and running!Wishing all the boys and girls a very enjoyable and successful year in 2nd class.

Ms. Dromgoole

We love reading in room 21. Today we celebrated 'World Book Day'. We went to the reading garden and read some of our favourite books. We designed new book covers, compared ourselves to a character of our choice and wrote book reports.

We've been learning all about Lent in class. We treated ourselves to some pancakes on Pancake Tuesday before Lent began.

We got active with classes around the country and completed Operation Transformation's 10@10. We had lots of fun exercising.

We have been reading with our new friends in sixth class. Here we are reading with our new 'buddies'.

We've been learning all about China, the zodiac calendar and the Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the rooster. We made Chinese lanterns to celebrate.

Well done to all of the super stars in Room 21. We performed our Christmas play 'Straw and Order' on the 20th of December and the children were fantastic. They worked really hard learning their lines and the songs over the past few weeks. A big thank you to all of the parents for your support and encouragement and for all of the wonderful costumes. I hope you all have a very happy Christmas!

Our Christmas raffle took place on the 12th of December. We were all winners. Everybody went home with a selection box!

Our Advent service took place in the school on Thursday the 8th of December. We spoke about the advent wreath, said some prayers and sang  'Away in a manager' and 'This is the Moment' during the service.

We have been learning all about GAA, the All Ireland Finals, the Sam Maguire Cup, Liam McCarthy Cup, O'Duffy Cup and the Brendan Martin Cup. We've been reading about some Dublin GAA players. We've also been singing 'Amhrán na bhFiann' and 'In Dublin's Fair City'.We dressed in blue and made Dublin flags to cheer on the Dubs! Congrats to the boys in blue!
