There are lots of ways for parents to get involved in the Parent Council – have a look and see what suits you!
1. Become a Committee Member
The PJP Parent Council committee is responsible for representing the parents of Pope John Paul II National School as well as organising and managing the activities of the Parent Council. The Committee generally meet one evening each month in the school where various ideas and activities are discussed in order to help enhance life at PJP.
2. Become a Helper
Life is busy, we understand! So if joining the committee doesn’t suit, don’t worry, we always need an extra helping hand during the year for events like Cake & Book Sales, Communions, Confirmations, Graduation parties and many other activities. If you are interested in getting involved, contact us and we will put you on our Helpers List.
3. Become a Parent Class Rep
PJP have a Parent Rep scheme. The idea is that each class has a dedicated Parent Rep who helps to get out all the messages from the Parent Council to parents. Parents from the class can also use the Parent Rep to provide important feedback to the Parent Council if needed.
4. Other ways to Support the Parent Council
If you have a particular skill in some area, e.g. gardening, painting, IT, cake making, first aid, etc. OR if you would like to donate a raffle prize to one of our fundraisers, please do let us know.
We very much appreciate and thank you for this support.
