Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer break! Welcome also to our new school website and class page.
So far, we have had a very successful September and everyone has settled in very well to second class and Pope John Paul's school. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new students, Ciara, Aileen, Ameera and Pablo. The boys and girls of room 20 have really made them feel very welcome and settled.
This month we have read about some Irish myths and legends learning about the stories ‘Oisin in Tír na nÓg’ and ‘The Children of Lir’ while in science the children got to eat some toast as we investigated changes caused by heat and we also experimented with magnets attracting metal through different materials! P.E. days are Monday and Wednesday. It is important that the children wear their school tracksuit and appropriate footwear on these days.
